ive been bugging her about this for years, but my mom still thinks dirt bikes are unsafe. i realize that ppl hav broken bones on them and blah blah blah, but im literally indestructable (id explain, but that wud take a wile)
please anser soon, if this waits 2 long i mite get a crappy 6 horse power jet skii (wich wud only go up 2 about 5 mph, and my dad wud hav 2 ride on bak at ALL TIMES D:)

i would suggest that you go about this the same way i did. ok its really simple you just gotta keep bugging her like every day and you say that you will always wear all protective items like a helmet, chest protector, gloves, boots, stuff like that. then also promise to her you will be very careful and not do dangerous stuff. and lastly offer to pay some of the price (that is the ultimate way for a kid to show he wants something badly). :) hope this could help and good luck

Obviously you are a young teenager This automatically makes you an idiot. Dirt bikes are not the least bit unsafe. Idiotic morons such as yourself who believe themselves to be invulnerable are the true dangers.
If you want to prove to your mother that you are responsible enough to own a dirt bike, show her by learning proper spelling, punctuation and grammar.
Please post your first face plant on the web, so that we may all admire the indestructable quality of your shattered jaw and teeth.

Hello
I am a mother of 3 and all my children ride we recently tryed to purchace a quad for my 10 yr old son they would not sale it to me when they found out it was for achild but said they would sell me a dirt bike reason being if you wreak a quad (4-wheeler) it is likley to roll over on you on the contrary if you wreak a dirt bike they are lighter and in most cases go away from you body. dirt bikes are a lot of fun just remember to always wear a helment and chest plate and do not try to out ride your skills. take it slow and only do what you are comfortable with. slowly build your skill and confidence. My youngest daugter is 6 and has had a bike for about a year she loves it and has never been hurt so far.

They are technically "unsafe". I don't think there is any convincing her that they are. Just say you will have all the protection on and you will be careful not to do crazy stunts.
