How do i convert videos from quicktime to windows media player?

I recorded videos off of my phone then put them on my computer. they end in .3g2. I want to make a movie using windows movie maker but i can upload my videos onto it. If i play the videos they play with quicktime. How do i make them work or how can i convert them for free with a trustworthy download that has no viruses or anything attached?

go to download.com they check the software for malware before putting it on their website for download. Don't click on the ads on the page around the download from download.com, for instance: I downloaded Any Video Converter free from them. But there were external links advertising similar software surrounding it but I wouldn't trust those external links. It gives a description of the software and a green download button to the left of it, that's what to click on. Look for video converters under the mobile tab.
