How do I compose a good song?

I'm only in highschool and I play piano and flute, so I can make a good tune. It's just that I can't get nice chords like how other people can make these beautiful, wow, amazing pieces with cool chords. I also want to add lyrics, but I can't really make the words fit with the song. Should I start with the tune first then lyrics then chords, or what??
