How do I clean an xbox 360 disc properly?

I have Halo 3, and my Xbox door was jammed so i tried tilting it on it side while the disc was in and running. It created a circle running about half an inch from the edge of the disc. Xbox said it cannot read the disc. Therefore, how do I clean it properly? Thanks
