you ... take it out.
and then put in new transmission fluid.
or you can go to dennis auto repair on bayshore boulevard in san francisco, california. =D 415-826-0480 to get your car fixed

find the drain plug and drain fluid and fill with specified fluid through the speedo cable gear housing

level of fluid should be at mark just about plastic gear on aluminum housing

In California, you take it to a shop and they'll do it for you. This is a necessary step, to keep the economy in good shape, and also for the used fluid to be recycled.

Find the drain plug on the bottom. When you refill use the level-fill plug on the left side.

5 speeds are easy so I know you can do it. Honestly it's been many years since I worked on one of those transmissions. I think there's actually a drain plug down low on the transmission. Just pull the drain plug and drain it out. The filler may be hard to get to. It helps to have a squeeze bottle with a straw or hose to refill the tranny. To be on the safe side, look up the spec to see how much it should take; should be around 2 quarts. have fun!
