How do I change or get the password to get on the internet on psp?

I have a wireless modem and believe I can but I brought this psp at the pawn shop yesterday and when I tried connecting to the net it wanted a password. I don't know it, is there some sort of default password anyone know of? How do I reset it? Help please. And in order to get on the the net do I need to be connected with a USB?
