How do i change color of brushes in photoshop cs4?

The first thing we have to know before we can use Photoshop CS4 brush properly is the understanding of Photoshop’s Foreground and Background color.

Foreground color is the color that will be use as brush, color, shape color. Furthermore, beside Foreground, the Background color also has some role when we apply brush stroke. This is when we use brush with color dynamics effect, but we will not discuss it right now.

These color can be seen in the Color Panel,



and the bottom of Tool Box.


The upper rectangle is presenting the Foreground color. The lower one is the Background color.


1. Default Foreground and Background Colors
2. Switch Foreground and Background Colors
3. Set foreground color
4. Set background color

If one of that rectangle is clicked, Photoshop will bring up Color Picker dialog box.



In this dialog box, we can select one color by click directly to it’s color, or by defining the color value.
For example: Black is: Red = 0; Green = 0; Blue = 0; or #000000
 
I just got photoshop cs4,everything works perfectly except the brushes, they can be used but only in the color white,and in no oher color,i have changed forecolor to color i want but it doesnt work.
please help
