How do i change a nextel phone to a sprint phone?

I have a nextel phone. I am aware that it uses a sim card. I have Sprint service and i would like to change this phone for a different one that doesnt use a sim card. I am aware of ESN swapping between sprint phones and would like to know how i can do this "swap" with my current nextel.
