How do I build a "tip-to-ground" footswitch?

I recently got an old DigiTech 256XL Multi-Effects processor. The manual says it can be controlled by a "standard single-button tip-to-ground footswitch." I didn't see anything like that on eBay. The description sounds quite simple, though, like I could build one with a few parts from Radio Shack.

Does anybody have a schematic? Is it as simple as just completing the circuit with the switch?
