How do I bridge a 2-channels amp to mono so it feeds all its juice to one single sub?

I have one sub and been told that it'll be cheaper and probably better to get a 2 channel amp and bridge it so it feeds all power to one sub with both channels.

but how ? do I just wire bridge it with 8GA wire ? or some sort of relay and resistors are needed ?

its easy, just connect the positive of one channel and the negative of the the other channel, simple as that, just use plain old speaker wire

um... dunno what your talking about with the 8GA wire. but just wire your amp like normal. like all the power wires. to bridge your amp, all you gotta deal with is how you hook up your speaker wires.

On most bridgable amps, you hook the positive lead from the subwoofer to the Left + and the Negitive lead from the subwoofer the the Right - on the amp. that is, assuming your amp is bridgeable. If it is not the Left + and Right -, just simply look at the amp channels. My amps all have lines showing which channels to hook the sub up to for bridging. If you hook your sub up and it is not louder than before, check if your amp has a switch on it to switch it from stereo to bridge mode. Just look at the amp, it will almost tell you how to bridge it just by looking at it.
