If you just want to remove the chain. Spin the back wheel until you find the master link..It will be the link with the clip on it..Take a small screwdriver and spread the clip until you can slide it off..Don't bend the clip..because you will need it again..Before you take the clip off.(note) the way its on there so you can put it back on the same way...The back of the clip needs to be facing the way that the tire is going to spin..(the round end forward) once you get the holding clip off you can use a screwdriver and start to pry the link apart..a little on one side and a little on the other..you don't want to bend it..Take your time...its easy...Best to put the bike on a stand to get the back wheel off the ground...
