worked hard his life for? So my dad's this insurance company manager and a real estate agent, and he owns (for lease) about 8 houses. So he's financially quite well-off.
And yesterday, he was positively stoked because he bought these two homes yesterday, but he's not really happy that I don't care about his business.
He's like, "When I die, all of those houses can go to you and your kids".
My parents are immigrants, so being the Big Man is sort of important to them.
But the thing is... I don't want to spend the rest of my life rotting in Houston, in suburbia.
I really want to be free of financial obligations, would be happy living in an apartment, and don't want to manage real estate for a living.
Also, I want to move to Las Vegas and make friends and have fun for the rest of my life.
Work but spend all my non-work time partying it up.
How do I get it to him that I don't want what he's working for?
