I have been taking ballroom classes once a week for a little over a year, but until now I've just been wearing an old pair of heels. They had an ankle strap and my teacher said they would do for level one classes. But I just got new ballroom dance shoes and was wondering if there was anything I needed to do to break them in besides just dancing in them. I also dance pointe and I usually bend the shank at the arch and the demi pointe by hand before using them. Do I need to do anything like that for these shoes?
