I am currently certified to teach Social Studies at the secondary level in Maryland. I also have a B.S. in History. Unfortunatly, because of the current job market I am finding it difficult to get a job in my content area. However, there are many available positions for a FACS teacher which made me wonder how difficult it might be to make the transition. What kind of degrees or skills are acceptable for this position and are there FACS Praxis tests?
