If you haven't already cut any wires off of the the factory black and grey connectors that were plugged into your stock radio and your van doesn't have the factory Infinity sound option:
Step 1. Buy the appropriate install kit for your van from Wal-Mart.
Step 2. Splice the wires from your Sony (likes to) Explod's harness to the adapters by matching up the colors and using either wire nuts (OK) or by soldering and shrink tubing them (poor to excellent depending on your soldering abilities).
Step 3. install the Sony's mounting sleeve into the plastic 1.5 to single DIN opening adapter that came with the install kit by bending out the appropriate tabs which will lock the sleeve in place.
Step 4. Install the mounting adapter in the dash.
Step 5. Connect the black plugs together and the grey plugs together and connect the antenna lead.
Step 6. Carefully slide the Sony back into its sleeve (to avoid pinching any wires) until it clicks into place.
If you cut the factory wires already buy the factory service manual for your van and use the wiring diagrams within to figure out how to connect the stereo to them.
If your van has the Infinity option it is best to just run all new wiring to the speakers and not bother with the factory stuff. If going this route get the largest (lowest number) speaker wire you can (preferably 12 AWG and at least 16 AWG). Do not buy the speaker wire from Wal-Mart as it is CCA (copper clad/plated aluminum) and not pure stranded copper and it is both less conductive and more fragile than pure copper wire.
