I was pulled over for not having my headlights on, when the officer was checking my insurance he told me the card I had was expired. I unfortunately couldn't provide valid proof of insurance so I was given a ticket. I have a court date but I won't be able to obtain a letter from my insurance agent in time, so how do I go about asking for a continuance so that I have a little more time to get a letter?
