How do I apply a ring tone on the samsung rant?

My friend sent me a ringtone and when I try to apply it as my ring tone, it says "Save Is Locked In Message". So i saved it, and it still won't let me! Please help!
 
Turn it off and on and try it again. MAYBE save as instead of save into another file.
