How do i add my old blackberry email address to my new blackberry device (same brand)?

I broke my old blackberry 9700bold, and bought a new one. when i tried to configure my old blackberry email address it doesnt accept..keep on saying, not available etc. i dont want to make another email account as i already did twice..help pls
