How do I active bluetooth on my new MacBook?

How do i activate it, and send protos from my Sony Ericsson Phone to my Mac (Mac OS X) via bluetooth? Thanks!
Now I added my phone on my bluetooth-connections-list.
But it is 'not connected' according to my com. But my phone IS connected
