How do I acess the HQ mode on the Official PS3 Headset?

I bought my PS3 headset nearly 2 weeks ago, and I found out on the internet that it has "HQ Mode"

How do I get HQ mode onmine?
The manual doesnt explain anything. Its a waste of paper lol
 
To have HQ mode you must pair your headset to the ps3 via the USB cable you use to charge your controller with insert the cable to the headset not the base theirs a little flap at the top on the headset itself connect it to their and then to the ps3 it should connect to the ps3 so when you turn it on a grey box appears saying the ps3 headset is connected/desconnected.

HQ mode is only avaliable when you pair the headset in that way.
 
There isn't any HQ mode, unless it's for an option when used as a Desktop Mic.

Also HQ would probably mean High Quality.
