are planning to commit a violent act against the focus of your hate speech?
- hate crime laws do not ban words.
Christian J since when does mugging someone promote a violent ideology and terrorism?
Just look at some of the answers to this question and my last question, they are saying Hate Crime Laws ban speech, ban religion, and all sort of silly things unrelated to violence.

It doesn't really matter; an ignorant, undereducated, stupid, racist, homophobic, black-phobic, Hispanic-phobic, woman-phobic, Native-American-phobic, Asian-phobic, anti-semite, backward, backwater doe-doe-brain is going to say what he's going to say whether it breaks the law or not.

And by the way, inciting to riot is one of the few things not protected by the 1st Amendment, so in a way, such speech was already illegal before hate crime laws came along.

They don't regulate speech at all... you're free to say whatever vile ish you want in this nation, but if you then go and attack some minority after talking about how you hate them, you can expect a hate attachment to your assault and battery... common sense

Hate crimes most always involves physical assault. I've never heard of anyone being arrested just because they called someone a racist name. Unless they called someone a racist name, and then threatened to kill the person. Are these retards around here saying this?
