I am a sort of artist. It's my dream, so I quit my job to try it properly. Progress is slow but I'm persevering.
I do believe my work is good, and I love it. but I'm struggling sometimes with discouragement from my friends. They refer to me as a waster (half-jokingly, but it gets annoying after a while) and keep suggesting office-jobs and retail jobs to me.
Maybe they're just concerned, but it gets me down.
If other artists experience this, how do you deal with it?
