Over the course of the show the writers revealed something about a characters past that we didn't know before, or changed a character for whatever reason. How did you view these "revelations" for these characters?

1. Principal Skinner assuming the identity of the real Seymour Skinner, and becoming the foster son of his mother.

2. Flanders revealing he was 60 years old.

3. Apu having 8 children.

4. Mr. Burns revealing that he becomes an alien look-a-like every Friday to cheat death for another week.

5. Jebidiah Springfield being a pirate instead of a savior for the town.

6. Sideshow Bob starting a family and having a son.

7. Selma adopting an Asian baby since she can never find love.

8. Homer having a long lost half-brother and then a mother who was a fugitive.

9. Krusty's white skin not being make-up.

10. Patty being a lesbian.

That's all I can think of right now. How did you view these revelations?

I know, but those things also pretty much changed the way I look at the characters.

When the show first started, I never thought Homer had a brother or that we'd ever see Homer's mother. I just assumed Homer was a single child and his mother died when he was a kid or something.

Apu's personality also started to change once he had 8 kids, as well as Sideshow Bob's somewhat.

I found the 'Mr. Burns is the glowing alien' twist in The Springfield Files to be highly creative and hilarious.

The whole episode you know they are going to reveal who or what that thing possibly is and when they do, it's totally a big WTF moment until Smithers explains the complicated process on how he becomes glowing green and it's so over the top it actually kind of makes sense and has you laughing.
