How did Will Ferrell's character get smart temporarily in the debate scene from

If you buy the super special edition dvd, you would see a deleted scene where they list the ingredients.
1/2 cup water
1/8 cup olive juice
1/8 cup carrot juice
1/4 cup grinded pepper corn
1/4 cup vanilla extract
1/4 cup milk
4 tablespoons of vinegar

It sounds disgusting but is actually pretty good. The flavors mesh in such a way, you'd never know what you were drinking. Its good.
