...its shores. Have we forgot? how did the United States responded to the reality of international terror reaching its shores. Have we forgotton those lessons? Why or why not? Will we be able to prevent future 9/11 type attacks?
 
Incoherent question. But, no we cannot prevent attacks on the US - the border is too long and too porous and it's too easy to wreak destruction on our society.
 
The United States responded with overwhelming force after it decided to respond and after much delay caused by debate and U.N. resolutions. This delay resulted in some of the bad guys getting the time they needed to rid their country of dangerous weapons we sought to destroy and gave the opposition ammunition to demagogue the operation by asserting that since no weapons of "mass destruction" were found, the whole operation was self serving to the ones who ordered the response while suddenly finding plausible deniability after authorizing the mission in the first place.
It remains to be seen if the next administration will be as diligent.
 
How did the United States responded? Where did you learn english? And ,have we forgot? An abysmal use of the language. Shame.
 
by kicking @ and taking names yes we have forgotten but i am sure the terrorist Muslims will remind us again
 
We snapped into action, and bombed a country that had nothing to do with it, had no weapons of mass destruction, did not harbor any terrorists (because they hated Saddam). No haven't forgotten, its a pretty horrible track record.

Good question, though. Now, we're being told that "they're (our troops) are fighting over there, so we don't have to over here". Think about that for a minute, and then think about 25 million illegal aliens wandering into and out of this country, like the USA is Mexico's back porch. Then think about how incredibly well protected our country is (NOT). Its not due to the troops themselves, of coures, they're doing a great job.

Its a bunch of very creepy people, with hooks into companies that make the lions share of $13 billion dollars *a month* on the occupation of Iraq. Then talk about how we're so well prepared for a terrorist attack.

Not only could we not prevent it, its so incredibly easy to do considering the complete disregard for protecting our borders and filtering out illegal aliens, that our government has become quite poor at.

YES the USA will be able to prevent anything attack against our lands thanks God!
