Marilyn Monroe is considered the greatest sex symbol of all time. Long hair is supposedly more feminine than short hair but she had short hair!!!

Soft curls framing her face, a pretty feminine face with sultry eyes and soft lips. The way she carried herself. I think these all contributed and allowed her to pull off the look =]
