How did Hannibal manage to defeat Roman armies?

I want to know how Hannibal was able to defeat Roman troops with barbarian troops considering the Romans' extensive training and structured tactics and cohesion where barbarian troops lacked that type of professional training, at least training not of equal value to that of the Roman.
