How did blasting rap music in cars become part of the African American culture?

My name is Alex and i live in Michigan near Detroit.

In my small city and ive noticed around the Detroit area that young black people my age be blasting rap music in their cars.

somebody drives down my block everyday blasting rap music and it sets my car alarm off in my driveway.

I am a 22 year old black man.

How come most young white people my age dont be blasting rap music in their cars when they drive down the street, or any music blasting in their cars. I dont be blasting rap when I drive, plus my mom told me that the police would target me and probably ticket me for blasting my music in my car, and i dont need that as a black man in America in Michigan.
