how dan you put ringtones on your vrgin mobile X-TC?

i was told you could do it off the computer. but i have no clue how to do it. i have a blackberry micro SD card, but it still works in my phone (if that's why it's not doing it correctly) but i'm not sure how to do it. so if you know, can you please guide me though the steps on making a song as my ringtone, PLEASE & THANKS!
