how could you die by falling into a closing garbage truck?

Okay i was watching law and order and this guy fell into a garbage truck that was closing and said "I don't wanna die like this" how could he have died just by falling into a garbage truck is there something sharp in there that rips up the garbage bags or something i just don't know? the episode was called "flight" law and order S.V.U please help this will bug me someone who knows the structure of a garbage truck could help :) thanxxx

Yea never seen one in person :))) dont know and apperently didnt care what it did until now except make grabage go bye bye :)

Have you really never seen a garbage truck? It's a huge hydraulic compactor on wheels.
