I've started writing a fantasy novel. With this book, I plan to break almost every fantasy rule in existence by not including elves, dwarves, dragons, wizard schools, dark lords etc. Instead, I'm planning on putting guns in. That doesn't mean that its going to have knights running around with m16s: it's only going to have pistols and rifles that have to be reloaded after only being shot once. I want to know how I could implement them into the story, but still keep the overall feel of fantasy. Even though there won't be magic, It'll still have monsters, and there'll still be a quest (ok, I lied earlier. The quest is for something that supposidly has supernatural powers, but there won't be any wizards or anything like that. Please post your opinions, suggestions, etc.
Dude, I'm trying NOT to put magic stuff into my novel.
