We didn't realize our aunt was a hoarder as we hadn't spoken in years. She not only hoards items, she lives in total infestation of bugs & fecal matter, her own fecal matter. Also, there are dead rats in the garage & maggots in the house. She apparently left human diapers on the floor. Despite all of this, honestly there is proof she has went to work each day in a very professional environment. She lived in this situation until a well check was made & she was found ill with a bladder infection. What do you think about this situation? How could she manage to work each day & live in squalor like this? She makes total sense when she talks and has admitted she has this problem, but she doesn't seem proactive enough to do anything about it. Thank you for all your help.
The fire marshall won't let us in the house without him being there and said he has never seen a living condition this bad in his life. BTW, my aunt is 70.
