I have horrible mood swings as a prodromal warning sign before my migraines hit. These mood swings include suicidal impulses and irrational anger. The feelings are strong and frightening and are quickly followed by all those wonderful migraine bonus symptoms like phono-phobia, photo-phobia, lethargy and finally the nasty headache that hits me like an anvil on the back of my neck (upper traps).
How common are the mood swings and the whole wild range of symptoms BESIDES good old headache pain?
What can I do to prevent or deal with these mood swings?
Thanks. No jokes please, folks. This is very troubling for me.
