how come wheelies are always done on sport bikes and dirt bikes?

There is a school of thought that holds that shafties cannot wheelie. Against the laws of physics. They say they don't countersteer either, on account of the coriolis effect.
 
You probably could, but isn't your 550ltd either belt or shaft drive? If shaft drive I do not recommend pulling a wheelie. As a matter of fact no bike is engineered from the factory to pull wheelies. What the people who do them don't tell you is how many fork seals, and suspension parts as well as back tires and chains and sprockets they go thru in order to be idiots on the street.

Do us all a favor and save the tricks for track day so you can impress other like minded individuals.
