how come we can tell a suicide attempt is happenin as little kids, prior to seeing any..

like ive noticed
we all even the little kids freak out when someone seems suicidal.
whether it is in movie, or in real life.

Some kids dont watch it in the media like in the movies, is it inact to see someone causes harm to himself herself as a sort of panic to urself?
what i mean is if a little kids never seen a suicide before how can he or she get the sense that something drastic is going to happen?
