How come the anti smoking groups are not ranting &...?

...raving about president Obama's smoking habit? Does this not send mixed signals to our children??? I mean why have anti smoking legislation at all in country when the president of our country admits that he is a chain smoker? Plus he violated the federal indoor smoking ban by smoking indoors in his senate office.
Will he smoke in the white house also, which constitutes a serious violation of federal law? Are the anti smoking groups just all liberals using the health issues of smoking as a smoke screen to further their agenda towards (P)eople (C)ontrol(PC) & social engineering?
Through out the whole presidential campaign I never once seen or heard of an anti smoking organization publicly chastise Obama for smoking cigarettes. Where are the anti smoking voices today in America regarding president Obama not being politically correct? Did I miss something? Anybody heard anything at all from the anti smoking organizations, the U.N., our surgeon general, anybody scolding president Obama & his negative effects on tobacco legislation & his message to children that smoking is part of being successful???
Noble, I do understand your point. But this is public knowledge! Kids know how to use computers & can find this out on their own! Thats PROMOTING smoking to kids for God's sake!!! he's literally telling kids, "you wanna be like me, start smoking"!
Where is the anti smoking voice brow beating Obama in public for his promotion of tobacco towards kids??? The anti tobacco lobby jumps parents for smoking in house & in vehicles with kids inside them. How come they are not, AT LEAST THE U.N. jumping all over Obama? What does that say about our surgeon general, like is he condoning Obama's smoking habit too? Good God, what a way for a president to start office. Does president Obama promote recreational drugs & alcohol for kids too?
I mean we just got rid of GWB & now the replacement is promoting smoking for kids. Christ help us!

He gave up smoking as per his wife's request, he chews Nicorette gum to help with the cravings. He said in an interview it has been "months" since his last cigarette. I do agree that smoking is a disgusting habit but please get your facts right. He does not smoke any more.
 
He is supposedly trying to stop, like many U.S. citizens are.

I don't recall seeing him out on the campaign trail, in a crowd, with a cigarette going.
He is respectful of all the laws and smokes only in private, if still smoking at all.

What about LAURA BUSH?
She is said to be a chain smoker.
Has her last 8 years in the whitehouse physically injured you or your children?
Did you sic the anti smoking groups onto her?
 
Smoking should be encouraged, but in the proper places of course.

Smoking is a good form of population control and a great source of taxes; (which should be increased on odd years). One of the best gifts you can give a smoker you don't like, is a carton of cigarettes. To increase addiction, the cigarette manufacturers should put more tar and nicotine into their coffin nails. America should give free cigarettes to our enemies as part of an aid package.

The use of Obama's image on cigarette packs and advertisements should be allowed and encouraged. That alone should give our economy a temporary boost.

Just think of the people that would be put out of work if everyone quit smoking tomorrow. I am sure fire fighters, doctors, and morticians would not like that plan.

He allegedly gave up smoking however his current office permits it in the office no les which tells me he's still a 2 pack a day man. The anti smoking groups wont harm their gravy train! Don't you know Obama is the Messiah's 2nd coming and all that?
 
He's sleeping with a black woman, too. What a horrible role model for our children.
 
This question is not relevant because as everyone in the country knows rules, laws and social norms do not apply to black people.

The anti-smoking groups are probably just like all the other liberal organizations - rules are for us little people.

The WaPo even said as long as it helps Obama get through his tough day, it's ok if he does it.

The media has been reporting that he either never quit or started again, for those of us that think he really did quit.

Maybe smoking will be cool again. It irritates me to see all these people who were so anti-smoker last week suddenly becoming big believers in individual freedom. Apparently they are believers in freedom only for certain individuals.
 
Really, who cares if the man is a smoker? Is that going to affect the way he does his job? NO
 
while I agree the issue should be addressed, perhaps the reason for your question is that I have never, maybe someone else has, seen Obama smoke on TV or in pictures, while he does admit it, there is little coverage of him do it, he is hiding it just like Brittney Spears who I heard the other day is a big smoker but made it clear she didn't want any one to know.
