...with women? Like...there are guys who go out, meet women, date some. Sometimes it works out, sometimes the relationship ends.
But, there are some guys, that take it so personally if a girl doesn't text them back after hanging out for a few weeks, or giving him her number at the bar. The men feel very dejected and rejected, as if allowing other people (in this case potential dates) to lower their self esteem.
Many men simply brush it off and go back to the bars or gym to go about their lives (or try to find other women), but some men are emotional in that they feel sad and rejected and just wonder why some girl didn't text or call who they hardly knew in the first place. Why does one place so much stock in another female liking or not liking him?
Do you think this is a sign of deep insecurity or mother issues? What would you suggest to a guy who gets down on himself just because a one night stand doesn't materialize or the girl stops calling after hanging out for a few weeks?
Are mother issues definitely at work here? And can these guys who put their self worth into someone else's control even have healthy relationships?
Then what is the typical root of insecurity? Childhood, issues in the family growing up?
Does insecurity in a man usually present itself only when it comes to women...or would an insecure person be insecure in pretty much everything, not just women?
