How come nobody really knows what happens in Canada?

I live in America.. and for such a big country I never notice it. Never hear about it on the news.. or anything. All I know there is like there's partly the Niagra falls, there's hockey.. um.. moose. . People talk kinda like Sarah Palin... Degrassi is filmed there. Those big chair things... and some of my cousins go there for boarding school. Is it really that boring and uneventful and igsignificant? I hear more about like Mexico... and Nigeria for ex. than freakin canada right to the north of America. I dont think I can recall 1 news story from there actually.
That still doesnt explain why we never hear about it. Im not trying to talk bad about canada.. i'm just being honest.. like i know people from there but i never hear about like canada's geography, history, anything like that. i mean i know that france and england once was in control but that's all my teacher said we'll learn about it really
 
Canada isn't really like that, not EVERYONE likes hockey, has random moose in thier backyard and say eh all the time. You shoudl see the girly girls here. There is stuff to do here thats fun. America has a bit more I think but Canadas not as boring as people assume. We have beautiful things to see here too.
