You know the definition of the 12A but you still seem to think that it means a film is suitable for children. Surely the point is that a 12A is not suitable for children. If a parent believes that the film is one that their children should see, then they are permitted to accompany them to the cinema, but otherwise these films are not intended for an under-12 audience.
