fishes don't move that much? i just bought it today and place it in my room. she's been swimming nonstop for a long time in one area like only half of the small container.

That means she's healthy :D
And its fine to just keep her in a container. They like smaller environments. But it wouldn't hurt to put her in a fish bowl.

:D

Wait, you're LEAVING her in a tiny container?!?

You need an aquarium to put your fish in....

Anyway, yes, betta fish are active fish... lazy bettas are either sick or cold or really old.

Bettas are actually very active fish when kept correctly. A small, unheated, and unfiltered environment makes for a lethargic and unhealthy betta. An unhealthy fish such as one effected by ammonia poisoning will also move erratically.

Please upgrade to an appropriate aquarium of about 5-10 gallons with a filter and heater.
