how come Metal doesnt have a forum of its own?

see now your just not paying attention to yourself. Like with any type of music they run off of each other. like you said Punk = Hardcore. well hardcore is punk you said.

its just that punk has its own forum.. indie does, even Hardcore and emo does... surely thats far more specific than simple metal. even if you put it within rock it would be better than mixing them.
 
That's a pretty comprehensive list.

I'd probably add Ted Nugent and the Araboy Dukes to it. Psychedelia (specifically acid rock) contributed a fair bit to heavy metal - in fact, banRAB like the Araboy Dukes, Blue Cheer, Iron Butterfly and Steppenwolf etc were often listed as heavy metal banRAB.

When was this poll taken? Out of curiousity.
Even if Zeppelin was considered Metal then, it doesn't change the fact that Classic Rock and Metal are totally differnt, and that EIMP was dead wrong...again.
 
Don't seperate the forums for fuck sake. If you want to discuss metal, make a bloody thread. What does it matter where it is if it's still a metal thread?
 
I entirely agree, when I joined this forum it almost turned me off to it, when I saw the two put together. While Metal is a subdivision of Rock, Rock is a very broad category.
