how come media cant find actors actresses?

like im just curious how come nobody really knows where actors and famous celebs live? like it cant be that hard for media to find out, like the paparazzi for example, if you see them just then follow em or something, and like the celebs neighbours would tell pple for money or something wouldnt they? how come nobody knows where they live, especially when there staying at like a motel
 
The media does know where most celebrities live.
Why would you want to know the answer to that question?
Actors/celebrities at heart are human beings and no human being I've ever come into contact with would want to have someone watching, photographing, filming and prodding them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all year round, forever more.

everyone knows where they live. you can go to hollywood and get
maps to the stars homes. granted if they sneak out at night
you would have to be staking out their house and follow them to
a hotel or where ever. stars can't walk out the front door without
someone knowing about it. media is only interested in the stars
in the lime lite who are creating news. celebs neighbors aren't
going to say anything, they don't want hoards of people running
all over their property trying to get a look at a star.
