How come in the book of Acts?

It says that they sold their property and gave to the apostles and the book of Hebrews says they lost it but have better promises, so why the contradiction.

China Doll, please give us the chapter and verse references so we can see what it really says and give you a proper answer.

Thx.

I'm not for sure what verse you are referring to in Hebrews, but the fact that the early Christians in Jerusalem sold their possessions, and another group somewhere else "lost" their stuff is not a Contradiction.

It might be worth noting that Acts was written around 50-60 AD. Whereas Hebrews was written closer to 100Ad. If there is a verse that says what you say it does (I know of none), then it is most likely talking about a different set of Christians.

Ananias and Saphira lied to the Holy Spirit. It is an example of the destruction of the flesh so the Spirit will be saved. The better promise is eternal life with Christ.

Could you please post the scripture references? Maybe then someone could help. I know about Ananias cheating the church and dying as a result but not sure about another account.

I think that it must be two separate accounts.
