how can you tell if your engine is going on a yamaha R6 2002? cuz mine revs

smooth 1-4500 then misses 5-7 then? its smooth again. im worried my engine is going. but i have no power loss. it ill pull up 1-3 gear ez.

If O-rings are on the main jets they may need replacing as air bubbles can get by worn O-rings and cause miss fire.Yours may or may not have them.
Possible spark intensity may be tracking to ground under load.Consider applying dielectric grease on plug insulators and put the plug wire caps back on.That should eliminate tracking.

It sounds like a low float level. Take float bowls off check it. While they are off..Remove the jets check to see their I.D. is clean. Also never hurts to install a new fuel filter, or clean fueltank petcock screen.

Sounds like improper jetting or dirty main jets. It could also be a dirty fuel filter on your petcock.
