is damaged? I have a '99 Honda Civic. One of the rear speakers basically has no bass at all. If I have it on talk radio, I can barely hear the voices of the people, but it's pretty weak, and with distortion (noise, and crackling).
Is it possible to blow out a particular channel on the car stereo deck? Or is the speaker itself just damaged? All of the other 3 speakers sound fine, it's just this one that has terrible sound.
One interesting thing is that I am able to put my finger on part of the speaker cone and push slightly away from the magnet and it starts to sound good, or better at least. Of course, as soon as I take my finger away, it sounds like crap again.
Your thoughts? Speaker damaged, or stereo?
The speakers are original to the car. They have never been changed. They are Pioneer.
