How can you tell if a guy is not just looking for sex?

i know this guy who i have dated before, but i broke up with him cause we never got to see each other. Now we are talking again and i really have strong feelings for him again, but whenever i text him in the day time, he text me back at like 9:00 at night... and that just kinda makes me feel like there may be someone else? ever though he's really sweet and cares about me alot and always tells me that he misses me? am i just blinded by the fact that i really like him?
 
You can tell if a guy is not just looking for sex if you don't have sex with him. If he sticks around and makes a commitment to you and loves being around you even when you don't "put out", then you know.
 
You should try talking to him more, maybe not so much through texting. It's so simple and easy to just say anything he wishes whenever he wants. Try calling him and talking to him about how you feel rather than a text if he's into you for the relationship like you want to be he'll take the time to listen to you and here what you have to say considering how you feel. Hope this kinda helps and good luck. If he's in it for sex and you feel that way then hit the road boys like that are not worth any of out time.
 
Timing is everything. If he only calls late at night then in his mind you are just a booty call. He is gonna say whatever he thinks you want to hear to get those panties to drop.
 
The details had nothing to do with the question. About him saying he always misses you there is a lot of people who say that to everyone just because they want to make you feel special. You may be blinded by the fact that you like him, but that should still tell you whether all he wants is sex or if he just wants a quick good time and move on.
 
i guess thats a risk you have to take, whether youre a girl or guy. You date first, go on a few dates, make out, then go on more dates, then sleep together... go on more dates, get to know each other.. and before you know it, there's your answer. but if he bails somewhere in between, or if you do, then sex is all you both got out of it and thats all it was
 
Well they can tell you anything ya know just make sure that that's not all he talks about and he stays with you for longer than a month w/o doing anything sexual.
