How can you refit/re-size an X-Box 360 microphone headset?

Alright, I've had my first microphone headset for my first X-Box 360 for a good year, year and a half. The hard plastic of the headset is completely worn out, where if I even tilt my head forward it almost comes off my head, and it barely fits now. It works perfectly fine, so I really don't see the need in buying a new headset, so does have anybody have any ideas where I can resit the plastic to make it fit like it was first in use where it's tight around the skull, and hardly moves upon head movement and etc so if anyone have any idea's or methods of which I can do to re-harden the plastic to make fit like that once again please label them down.

I suppose you could do what accidentally happened to me.

Break the part that doesn't have the wires in it, adjust the thing to wear you want it to be that you think it tight enough, and then put a load of tape on it to make sure it's held in place snug.

Idk, that's what happened to me, it felt a bit tighter on my head after I fixed it. But don't do this unless you're absolutely sure.. Or else you may need to get a new mic after all LOL
