How can you recover photos from your memory card?

I deleted all my photos/videos accidentally by press one button. I am so mad and I keep downloading software to get my memory back. I downloaded Stellar for a FREE scan but it wont work for some reason, when I press start scan then a problem thing comes up and says Windows can't find a solution. Whats wrong and is there something else I could do for FREE?
