First, you need some kind of program. A simple word pad would be the easiest, but for something a little more snazzy, a more advanced program would be nice.
Second, start designing. Do you want pictures on it? If not, then just include basic information in a decent sized font. Pertinent information can be larger and bold if you'd like. No crazy fonts though. Just a simple, straight forward lettering that is easy and professional.
Third, decide what information you want on there. Your name and number is obvious, but other information about yourself is also necessary. Are you experienced? How many years? Can you offer references? Are you licensed, insured and bonded? These are all important pieces of information that need to be addressed right off the bat so people know if you're even legit or not. Also place something about the hours that you can work. If you'll do home visits or not.
