How can you honestly claim that the human race is intelligently designed by God?

Think about it for a moment.

Girls as young as 8 or 9-years-old can have a menstrual cycle and get pregnant, even though no child in that age group has the maturity and intellect, not to mention finances, to raise a baby properly.

We are also, it seems, very susceptible to diseases and without modern medicine, many of us would have already died from something as mundane as chicken pox.

Obesity is another example.

If we were intelligently designed, why wouldn't God make us so that our body stops producing fat when it has enough to survive harsh conditions, instead of getting bigger and bigger to the point of possibly being unable to walk?

Don't get me wrong.

I'm not claiming that we're not responsible for our own choices in life; quite the opposite, in fact.

It's just that the processes I described above seem rather...well...biological and not suggestive of a higher power.

Take a look at your teeth.

Thanks to modern medicine [dentistry] yet again, we have learned how to keep our teeth clean so that they last nearly a lifetime.

Why would God create us so poorly-equipped that we have to suffer for years until we invent the technology to help ourselves?

It's not like we were just sitting around waiting for technology to prop up; it takes a lot of time and effort to figure things out and we're still not done.

Doctors can do just about anything nowadays but mere centuries earlier, the average life expectancy was much, much lower because we didn't have the advantages that we do in today's world.

Hell, people used to believe that germs didn't exist.

I'm not an Atheist.

I have an on-the-fence mentality.

Truth be told, I hope that God exists and that we remain conscious even after bodily death.

However, I'm very skeptical of such claims due to the astounding lack of evidence.
